Arranging a booking

Once you confirm you would like to proceed with your holiday booking, we will issue a confirmation invoice with the names of all participants and details of your holiday. This will be forwarded to you via email and you will need to check it prior to arranging for your deposit payment in order to confirm your booking. You must notify us of any discrepancies immediately.

Confirmation and deposit payment
We require a 20% deposit of the total cost invoiced at the time of booking to confirm your holiday. If your booking is made within 10 weeks of the departure date, full payment for the total cost of the holiday will be requested at the time of booking.
The holiday will only be confirmed by Explore Oisans on receipt of your booking details and non-refundable deposit payment. The deposit payment should be paid within 24 hours of submitting the booking form.
We will then issue a receipt for the money received. The date by which the balance payment for your holiday must be made will be stipulated both on the confirmation invoice document and your deposit receipt.

Final payment

The payment of the balance for your holiday is due 10 weeks prior to the holiday start date.

Payment should be made by bank transfer

If we do not receive your final payment by the due date mentioned on your booking confirmation invoice, Explore Oisans does reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and will apply cancellation charges as detailed below.
On receipt of your final payment we will send you a receipt for the total amount paid to us.

Booking amendments

In the event you need to change your booking please notify us at your earliest opportunity, wherever possible we will try to accommodate changes and issue a new booking schedule subject to an administration fee of 30€.

Cancellation of your holiday

If YOU cancel your holiday...
We must be notified in writing, by the lead traveller mentioned on the booking form, of your wish to cancel your holiday. The date of cancellation is the date the cancellation received in writing.

If you cancel for a reason which is covered by your insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges.

If WE change / cancel your holiday

In the event that we have to make a change to your booking we will endeavour to offer an alternative for you. If it is not possible to find an alternative, we will refund all sums paid by you to us and this will be the only obligation or liability of Explore 0isans to you in such circumstances. Changes to your booking will be communicated to you as soon as possible but will not materially change your holiday and no compensations will be payable. We also reserve the right to add to the price of any booking a Tour de France supplement should the event come to town during the period of a booking to which no supplement was applied at the time of booking.

Most of the changes that might occur are minor such as the withdrawal of a facility. You will be notified of any changes by us, as soon as possible but we do not pay compensation for minor changes.

Also note that compensation payments do not apply to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure, and similar events.)

In the unlikely event of Explore Oisans having to change your holiday arrangements after you have arrived at your holiday destination, we will do our best to find accommodation of a similar standard for your travelling party, in the same or a similar area.

Wifi in properties

Wifi is provided in most of our properties. If you require WiFi please check to ensure that your property has a WiFi connection before making the booking. Where WiFi is provided it is offered as a free complimentary service by the property owners. If the Wifi is not working or fails for any reason during your stay, please let us know and we will try our best to rectify the problem and get you back online. As WiFi is provided as a free complementary service, no refunds will be given in the event of that service being unavailable.

Holiday accommodation

Our prices include the basic cost of accommodation, facility charges such as heating and a one-time bed linen setup. Towels are not provided unless included on your booking schedule.

There may be occasions when facilities at a property are not available, for example the breakdown of a kitchen appliance (dishwasher/washing machine etc) in these circumstances we will make arrangements for the repair to be carried out as soon as possible. Please note that no refunds will be given in the event of that facility being unavailable.

Where appropriate we shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times on reasonable notice for the purpose of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance. Property rentals commence at 4pm on the day of arrival and end at 10am on the day of departure. If you do not depart on time we reserve the right to apply a fee of 100€ to be deducted from your security deposit. Our housekeeping staff start at 10am so please ensure you have left the property.

The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number stated on your booking schedule and we reserve the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not observed.

No camping cars, caravans or tents are permitted in the grounds of any property.
No campfires are permitted in the grounds of any property.
Where parking is available at the property vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. No pets are permitted at our properties without prior arrangement.

Smoking is not permitted at any of our properties

You agree to take all reasonable care of the property and its furniture and fittings and to leave them in the same state of repair and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning.

If there has been a breakage or damage at the accommodation, a claim may be made against you for the full cost incurred of any replacement items, repairs or additional cleaning due to non-compliance with this condition.

Use of any fireplace or BBQ facilities must supervised by a responsible adult at all times and left clean after use.

Security Deposit. A security deposit of between 300€ - 600€ is required for reservation of the property. This is paid as part of the balance payment for your holiday and will be detailed on your booking confirmation. The security deposit is fully refundable on departure, provided the following provisions are met:

All rubbish bins are emptied to the public rubbish bins outside the property.
All dishes are washed and put away and the dishwasher and fridge are emptied. All linens are removed from beds and placed together for collection.
No linens are lost or damaged.
All keys are returned. A charge of 20euros is made for each lost key.
No early arrival or late departure

Insurance

We recommend you take out travel insurance for your trip. We recommend that your insurance is taken out at the time of booking.

Data protection

In order to process your booking, it is necessary for us to collect personal data from you and the members of your party. We may contact you or members of your holiday party in the future to inform you about our services and offers. If you do not wish to be contacted in the future, please let us know in writing. By confirming your holiday booking (agreeing to our confirmation invoice) you confirm your consent to the use of your data and that of your party members for these purposes.

Complaint procedure

If you have a complaint, this must be reported to Explore Oisans immediately by telephone and email, to allow us to try and resolve the matter as soon as possible. If you fail to do this, we cannot accept responsibility as we may have lost the opportunity to investigate and rectify the problem. Any further complaint should be in writing, providing full details, and must be received within 14 days of your return to the UK. We regret we cannot consider complaints outside this period.
