This beautiful chalet "The Bothy" is situated in of the quaint little hamlet of Venosc at the end of a cobbled street, just an 8-minute walk to the télécabine to whisk you to Les Deux Alpes. The traditional chalet offers a superb base for families or couples seeking winter sports activities close to a wonderful ski resort while enjoying the traditional alpine experience of a small hamlet. Benefiting throughout from a modern well fitted interior spread over three floors, there are three bedrooms all with bathrooms, well equipped kitchen diner with large dining table, bright and welcoming lounge with wood burning stove and French doors to the balcony with sensational mountain views.

The ground floor of the chalet has an entrance hall with a door leading to a twin bedroom making it ideal for children, there is also a family bathroom, stairs lead to the middle floor of the house and the pretty lounge with comfortable sofas, wood burning stove and French doors to the south facing furnished balcony and stunning views over the Vénéon valley and the high peaks of the Parc National Ecrins. The spacious kitchen dining area is well equipped with everything needed to self-cater and benefits from a large wooden dining table seating 6 people.

A wooden staircase leads to the top floor of the house and the two double bedrooms all nicely decorated each with an en-suite bathroom and plenty of storage space. Each room has French doors and a little balcony from where to take in the spectacular mountain views or enjoy a morning coffee.

Ski - Take the télécabine from Venosc to Les Deux Alpes a short 8-minute walk downhill from the from the chalet. At the top of the télécabine there is a free navette to the centre of town and the ski lifts.

Alternatively, you can drive to Alpe d'Huez which takes approximately 35 minutes.

This wonderful old farmhouse has been lovingly restored with a full renovation this year creating an exceptionally comfortable, and unique holiday home in a pretty village setting. This house is the perfect choice for cyclists, skiers, hikers, and all mountain enthusiasts.

Combining good quality furnishings throughout, a spacious interior, excellent facilities and incredible mountain views to be enjoyed from the garden and terrace.

You enter the house on the ground floor into a welcoming entrance hallway. To the left is a stylish spacious lounge with impressive vaulted ceiling, wooden floor, comfortable sofas, tv, and wood burning stove for the colder months. There are French doors leading to the south facing garden with stunning views. A separate kitchen and dining area are adjacent to the lounge, where there is a bright and well equipped kitchen, with electric hob and oven, fridge freezer, microwave, coffee maker and all the necessary items to enjoy a self-catered holiday. The dining table can comfortably seats eight. Also on this floor there is a bathroom with shower cubicle and WC.

From the hallway there are stairs leading down to the basement and a sauna. What better way to ease aching muscles after enjoying the mountains!

A wooden staircase leads to the first floor of the house and two large bedrooms. The first has two sets of good quality adult sized bunk beds and plenty of storage for personal items. A second family bedroom has a double bed, an adult sized bunk bed and storage. Both bedrooms have access to the second bathroom with shower and WC. All beds and mattresses are new as of 2020 and are good quality.

The furnished garden and terrace offer a wonderful place to enjoy an evening aperitif after your ride, or in winter to enjoy the snowy alpine scene. There is a BBQ for use in summer.

The house has a prime location on the valley floor close to the crystal-clear waters of the Vénéon.  It is just a short walk from the centre of Venosc and the outdoor swimming pool. There is a café/bar situated beside the house and a nice selection of restaurants and shops can be found in the artisanal village of Venosc positioned just above the gondola station. This area is renowned for hiking and cycling in the summer months with the Parc National Ecrins on the doorstep and a multitude of hiking options available. For road cyclists you can ride to the foot of the famous Alpe d’Huez in just 15 minutes or choose one of the other famous climbs in the area.
